Khel Khel Mein Box Office Collection Day 12: Akshay Starrer Surpasses Sarfira Biz In 2nd Weekend

Khel Khel Mein Box Office: Akshay Kumar fronted comedy-drama has been faring below average in terms of its collection ever since its release on August 15. It faced a three-way clash with Stree 2 and Vedaa, but has been continuing to pull in audiences in metro cities. Janmashtami holiday has benefitted its collections to a certain extent.

Khel Khel Mein surpasses Sarfira box office

Akshay Kumar will have some reprieve with the reception of Khel Khel Mein as it will surpass the collection of the actor's last release Sarfira, which is a remake of Soorarai Pottru starring Suriya. Sarfira released in July and collected ₹24.85 crore. It is still to make its debut on OTT.

Khel Khel Mein has collected ₹25.50 crore in 12 days so far, according to Box Office India. August 27, Janmashtami holiday, will boost its collection, pegging it to be a better money maker than Sarfira. In the first weekend of its release, Khel Khel Mein collected ₹20.40 crore and ₹5.10 crore in its second weekend.

The ensemble cast includes Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal.

Akshay Kumar’s previous remakes like Bachchhan Paandey, Cuttputlli, Selfiee, and Sarfira, all of them turned out to be flops. The director of the film is Mudassar Aziz, who has directed comedies like Pati Patni Aur Woh and Happy Bhaag Jayegi.
