Munjya Becomes 2nd Highest Grosser In Horror-comedy Universe After Stree, Enters 100 Crore Club

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya stars Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma, and Mona Singh. Released on June 7, the film's latest box office figures were shared by Maddock Films on Monday via X. According to the production company, Munjya has grossed ₹103 crore in India over 17 days, with a net earnings of ₹87.31 crore.

Set in Maddock Films' horror comedy universe, Munjya is inspired by a mythical creature from Marathi folklore. The story centers on Munjya and his impact on Bittu, portrayed by Abhay Verma. Mona Singh plays Pummy, a single working mother who is very protective of Bittu. The film also features Suhas Joshi, Ajay Purkar, and Bhagyashree Limaye.

The next installment in Maddock Films' horror comedy series, Stree 2, is scheduled for release on August 15. This sequel to the 2018 film Stree will continue the popular franchise.
