Munjya Is Unstoppable At Box Office, Inches Closer To Join ₹100 Crore Club In India

Munjya is enjoying the run at the box office even in its third week of the release. Starring Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma, the movie has been unstoppable despite the two recent releases - Chandu Champion and Ishq Vishk Rebound. Now, the movie is inching closer to joining ₹100 crore club.

Munjya box office collection in the third week

On the 19th day at the box office, the horror-comedy drama was able to mint ₹2.48 crore. Adding the daily collection, the total now stands at ₹92.29 crore in India, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh. If the movie maintains its pace then in a few days it will be able to join ₹100 crore club.

However, the movie's business might be affected as a highly anticipated movie Kalki 2898 AD, starring an ensemble cast - Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan - is releasing on June 27. So it will be interesting to see how it performs from tomorrow onwards.

Take a look at this week's business -  Fri 3.31 crore, Sat 5.80 crore, Sun 7.20 crore, Mon 2.50 crore, Tue 2.48 crore. Total: ₹ 92.29 crore.

When Varun Dhawan crooned Shaan’s Tanha Dil at the Munjya success party

A few days ago, the makers of Munjya hosted a success bash which was also attended by Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor apart from the Munjya cast. A video of the new dad, Varun Dhawan grooving to music went viral on social media. In the video, the Bhediyaa actor donned a denim-on-denim attire as he crooned to the famous song Tanha Dil, originally voiced by Shaan. Additionally, the OG Stree Shraddha Kapoor too attended the event. She donned a red top teamed with denim jeans.

What else do we know about Munjya?

Set in Maddock Films' horror comedy universe, Munjya is inspired by a mythical creature from Marathi folklore. The story centres on Munjya and his impact on Bittu, portrayed by Abhay Verma. Mona Singh plays Pummy, a single working mother who is very protective of Bittu. The film also features Suhas Joshi, Ajay Purkar, and Bhagyashree Limaye.
