Co-contestants of Shah also shared that he deserved to be scolded as what he did was not appropriate for his age. However, Malaika's co-judge on the show Remo D'Souza tried to diffuse the situation. He intervened and injected a dose of humour into the situation, however, social media users are rallying behind Malaika, claiming she was right in scolding the boy.
As soon as the video went viral online social media users rallied behind Malaika Arora. Several netizens agreed with the actress and claimed that it is ‘indecent’ for a 16-year-old boy to behave in this manner. However, others claim that the reality shows are scripted and soon after schooling him, Malaika pivoted and gave him a standing ovation for the performance. Select social media uses called her a ‘hypocrite’ and argued that the clip is deliberately shared for increased publicity about the show.
