Paralympics 2024: Indian para-athletes have made the country proud by clinching medals at the ongoing sporting event.
Paris Paralympics 2024: Indian para-athletes have opened the country's medal account at the ongoing Paris Paralympics 2024 by winning silver and bronze medals. Several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to laud the athletes after their win.

Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a post on Instagram story and wrote, "Huge congratulations.” She also tagged the athletes in her post. Sonali Bendre shared a collage of the winners with their medals and wrote, “Congratulations! Medals are home again”.
Ayushmann Khurrana too shared an Instagram post and wrote, “What an amazing day for India at the Paralympics. Feeling super proud. Congratulations.”
About the winner of Indian para-athelets in Paralympics 2024
For the unversed, with Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal's double podium finish at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, India has entered the official medal tally with a bang.
Avani Lekhara secured a gold medal for India in the 10m Air Rifle category. This gold medal for Lekhara made her the first Indian woman to win two gold medals at the Paralympics.
Where as Mona Agarwal settled for the bronze medal in the same event. In the 10m Air Pistol category. In the 10m Air Pistol category, Manish Narwal secured a silver medal for India whereas Preethi Pal secured a bronze medal in the Women's 100m.
With all of these medals coming India's way, India now has a total of 4 medals with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze. India currently sits 18th on the Paralympics medal table.
For India, it is a historic event for the nation as the country has sent the largest ever Paralympics contingent with 84 athletes which also includes 32 women. The Indian contingent will be participating in 12-sporting events.
The Paralympic Games in 2024 is held in Paris, France from August 28 to September 8, 2024. These games are hosted by Paris for the first time.
