Arshad Warsi's opinion of Prabhas starrer Kalki 2898 AD and his referral to the Telugu star's characterisation in it has not gone down well with netizens, and a few Tollywood celebrities. Amid heavy trolling from fans of the Baahubali star, Arshad has disabled the comments section on Instagram in one particular post.

The post he had shared on Independence Day featured his wife Maria Goretti and their teen daughter. With his recent remarks on Prabhas, his comments section was filled with negative comments. To protect his family from the hate he is receiving online, Arshad deactivated his comments section.

Why is Arshad Warsi being trolled on social media?

In a recent interview, Arshad Warsi said, "Maine Kalki dekhi, mujhe toh nhi acchi lagi. Mujhe bahut takleef hoti hai jab hein. Amit ji was (mind-blown sounds) unbelievable. I can't understand that man. I swear if we got the power he has, life ban jaae. He's unreal."

He further added, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata." Arshad comments on Kalki 2898 AD, and especially Prabhas, have gone viral on social media with many taking pot-shots at the former.

With Arshad  Warsi’s recent comments, a fan war has been raging online. One user wrote, ”Arshadwarsi's comments should be taken lightly. #Prabhas gave his best, and his presence alone elevates the movie. He’s always been dedicated to entertaining his fans." Another user wrote, “Let’s appreciate him for saying the truth without any hesitation." Tollywood actor like Nani, Vishnu Manchu and Sudheer Babu, producer Dil Raju and director Ajay Bhupathi have also spoken out against Arshad for his "callous" remarks against Prabhas.
