What's the new rumour about Ranbir's Ramayana?
Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming epic, Ramayana, is set to be a cinematic spectacle. It is reported that the film will be made in three parts. According to latest reports, Ranbir Kapoor will be taking on a double role in the trilogy, portraying not just Lord Ram but also Parashuram, the two avatars of Lord Vishnu.
After Lord Ram breaks Lord Shiva's divine bow at Sita's swayamvar, Parashuram, initially enraged, challenges him. When Lord Ram succeeds, Parashuram acknowledges him as an incarnation of Vishnu and retires into penance. Parashuram's role in Ramayana, and as a result in the film, will be limited but is expected to be an interesting one as it will be a direct confrontational scene with the hero of the movie.

Reports also suggest that Ranbir Kapoor 's dual role is not the only surprise in the film. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has also been roped in to play a part in the project. Although he won’t be seen on screen, Bachchan will bring to life the divine eagle Jatayu with his legendary voice.
Jatayu plays a pivotal role in the narrative, bravely attempting to save Goddess Sita from Ravana and ultimately sacrificing his life. Ramayana also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The movie has gone on the floors earlier this year.
