Manushi Chhillar urges her fans not to take the pressure of social media
"There's a certain amount of personality that you can build through social media. And I mean, I'm an actor. I know the value of creating perception, but I think that's pretty much it. I feel the pressure I mean, I think people shouldn't take the pressure of social media or maintaining a certain image on social media unless it really adds value to your life. It adds value to your profession because today I have a younger brother and I see a lot of his friends," she continued.
Manushi further stated that Instagram has become a bubble for all the youngsters and gave an example of her brother's friends, how they carry tripods during vacations to create content just to keep their Instagram “look good”. "They come with tripods and everything and they're like, we have to create content. And I said, for what? They said, no. It's not how you know our Instagram needs to look. And I said that's too much pressure on you at your age," adding to this, she said, "I feel like we need to understand that Instagram is also a certain bubble. You know, we always talk about this that being Instagram famous might also be like being rich in monopoly."
She stated that Instagram is "great" but only to support other things, but if it's purely focusing on social media then she believes it's "not a very healthy way of living because the real world is very different".
