The calls for justice in the mysterious deaths of Sushant Singh Rajput and his former manager Disha Salian have gained traction once again after the latter's father demanded a fresh probe into her daughter's case. Satish Salian said on Wednesday that his petition in the High Court demands the registration of an FIR against Aaditya Thackeray, who was a minister in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government led by Uddhav Thackeray when Disha died.
In response, Aditya Thackeray alleged defamation and said, "A lot of people have tried to defame me for the last five years. If the matter is in court, then we will speak in court." Meanwhile, Sushant's father KK Singh also spoke on the matter and said that the CBI should share all findings in the case of his son and Disha's deaths while maintaining that he was not someone who could take his own life. Both Disha and Sushant died in June 2020, days apart from each other, leading to speculation that the cases are connected.
Speaking to Republic Media Network's Editor-In-Cheif Arnab Goswami, Sushant's cousin Neeraj Kumar Singh said that whatever Disha's father is saying should be considered and the investigation should proceed depending on that.
"Thackeray government tried to suppress the issue and stop the investigations. Disha's murder is linked with Sushant's murder." Neeraj said. Hinting at the mysterious nature of Disha's death, who passed away after falling off from the balcony of her home in Malad on June 8, he added, "If a person falls from the 12th floor, there would be blood around the body but there was no blood it means that she was silently murdered. We were asking for investigation continuously, now that the govt has changed we will urge them to reopen the case and get the truth in front of us. Disha Salian’s father has come through, he was pressurised to stay silent but finally he has come out and spoken openly about the case."
"If Aditya Thackeray is involved and it comes to light then he should get the strictest punishment possible," Neeraj further shared. he also said that he would meet Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and call on him to look into the matter.
About the investigation at the time of Sushant's death, Neeraj shared, "Even Sushant said that some big names were involved and he feels threatened by the situation. This is such a sad thing that the Bihar police went there and the IPS officer was kept captive by the Mumbai police and the government. Now that double engine govt is here we expect and hope they will re-open the investigation and will let us know the truth."
"Sushant was the youngest in our family. He went to Mumbai and made a place and a name for himself. What happened to him is really sad for us. To get justice for him will be our goal till the end," he concluded.
