When Anushka-Virat's Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration Sparked Rumours Of Actress's Second Pregnancy

Social media posts, public outings and vacations of the couple often make it to viral moments on social media. One such instance was the actor-cricketer's duo Ganesh Chaturthi celebration in 2023. As soon as Anushka shared photos from the celebration, fans of the couple extended their best wishes to them, with some even making speculations about their pregnancy, which later turned out to be true. 

Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli donned traditional Indian outfits for Ganesh Chaturthi 2024

Cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma announced the birth of their baby boy, Akaay, who was born on February 15. However, the rumours of the couple expecting their second child had been going around for a long time. In September 2023, Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram account to share a series of pictures from the celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi. The actress shared the photos wherein she could be dressed in a Banarasi saree while Virat donned a white kurta-pyjama set. 

Anushka even gave a glimpse of the decorations and prasad for the festival. She completed her traditional look with a bun tied together with a gajra. She shared the photo with the caption, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi” . While the couple, who are largely known for keeping their personal life away from the public eye, refrained from announcing their pregnancy, social media users had speculated that the actress was expecting her second child at the time. The speculation was indeed correct, and Anushka welcomed her baby boy in February 2024. 

Anushka Sharma arrived in Mumbai ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi

This year, the PK actress arrived in Mumbai before the 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. On Tuesday morning, September 5, Anushka Sharma made a notable return from London for a media event. She impressed fans and media with her chic all-black outfit. At Mumbai airport, Anushka caught everyone's attention with her refined, no-makeup look. However, the  Jab Tak Hai Jaan star arrived alone, without her husband and children, hinting that it would be a short trip in the city before she heads back to London.
