When Bhumika Chawla Opened Up About Being Replaced By Kareena Kapoor In Jab We Met
Bhumika Chawla once talked about losing out on films even after the box-office success of the film Tere Naam. She was last seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

The actress has worked in Bollywood, Tamil and Telugu film industries and has made a great impact on the audience with her brilliant acting skills. She once opened up about a regret in career ie, the loss of her role in film Jab We Met.
Interesting revelations by Bhumika Chawla
In a conversation with RJ Siddharth Kanan, Bhumika Chawla said she received many film offers after the massive success of Satish Kaushik directorial Tere Naam. However, she was always selective of the projects she signed for. She further disclosed that she signed up for a big film but soon after the production changed, the entire star cast along with the film title also changed. She also said that is she would have done those films, it would have been quite a different scenario for her.
She said, "The only time I felt bad was when I signed Jab We Met and it didn't happen. I was the first one, Bobby (Deol) and me, when it was called Train. Then, it was Shahid (Kapoor) and me, and then Shahid and Ayesha (Takia), and then Shahid and Kareena (Kapoor)." After she moved on from that project, Munna Bhai MBBS came her way.
Bhumika continued by saying, " I had signed Munna Bhai MBBS but it didn’t happen. Kannathil Muthamittal with Mani (Ratnam) sir didn’t happen." She also opened up and talked about her meeting with Raju sir. She said that Raju sir disclosed to her that she was removed from the films not because she did something wrong. He said that things like these often happen in the entertainment industry.
When Bobby Deol was replaced in Jab We Met
Kareena Kapoor Khan insisted the filmmaker take her then love interest, Shahid Kapoor. Therefore, the latter replaced Bobby Deol. In an interview with a leading news portal, Deol revealed the same in 2017. He said that he had enjoyed Imtiaz Ali’s Socha Na Tha which featured Abhay Deol and Ayesha Takia in the lead roles.
After this, Bobby Deol tried working with the director in a film titled Geet, which eventually was titled Jab We Met. Moreover, Geet was named after Kareena Kapoor’s character in the film. According to a report, Deol added that a studio named Shri Ashtavinayak wanted to sign him. He agreed to it as the script was ready. Bobby Deol also proceeded to talk to Kareena Kapoor but the producers thought he was making an expensive film.
Later on, Bobby Deol got to know that Kareena Kapoor had signed the film and got the filmmaker to take Shahid Kapoor to play the leading character, much to his surprise. He added that he was also supposed to work in Highway, but it could not happen. Talking about his feelings for Imtiaz Ali, Bobby Deol revealed that he does not have any hard feelings for the filmmaker. But he always told that he would not watch the director’s movies until he created one with him, which would be his best one.
