Samay Raina appeared in front of the Maharashtra Cyber Cell today, March 24. The Youtuber was questioned by the officials for over 6 hours after allegations were raised that his show India's Got Latent promotes obscenity and served as a platform for lewd and perverted comments. The YouTuber has skipped the summons issued by the cyber cell twice before, citing that he is not in the country.

Visuals from outside the cyber cell show Samay Raina leaving the office after the questioning. The comedian was surrounded by media, but he did not answer any queries that came his way and made a hasty exit.
Samay Raina was first summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell on February 18. The Youtuber skipped the appearance and requested to undertake the questioning over video conferencing, citing that he is not in the country owing to a tour. His request was denied and he was asked to reappear on March 18. Samay skipped the second summon too. He finally visited the Maharashtra cyber cell head office in person today.
Several shows of Samay Raina's ‘Unfiltered With Samay’ across the country were being cancelled amid India's Got Latent controversy. Addressing the same, Samay took to his Instagram Stories on Thursday and informed his fans about his decision to reschedule his India tour. He wrote, "Hello guys, I'm rescheduling my India tour. You all will get refunds shortly, see you soon". Comedian's tour was supposed to begin on March 27 and conclude a month later - April 27.

For the unversed, the controversy first came to light when an incestuous joke regarding parental intercourse made by Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBicep began doing rounds on social media. The particular remark, along with the reactions adn the comments made by other panellists sparked nationwide outrage. As a result, Allahbadia took to his social media account to issue an apology and assured his fans that he would not repeat the same mistake. Samay, on the other hand, did not apologise but removed all episodes of his show from YouTube. Several guests and panellists who appeared on India's Got Latent have been issued summons by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell.
