Chiyaan Vikram In Mahesh Babu's SSMB29: Thangalaan Actor Says 'SS Rajamouli And I Will Definitely...

Tamil actor Vikram, who has been is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Thangalaan, addressed rumours of him being part of SS Rajamouli’s project SSMB 29, starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role.

Vikram reveals whether or not he is a part of SS Rajamouli’s SSMB29

Vikram, who was in Hyderabad to promote his upcoming Tamil film Thangalaan, was asked about his upcoming projects. To this he replied, “Rajamouli and I are good friends. We have been discussing for a while, to work together. We will definitely collaborate one day, but I am not sure whether it is going to be for SSMB 29 or anything else.”

About his Thangalaan director Pa Ranjith, Vikram said, “I have always been a fan of Pa Ranjith's work, right from his debut film Madras. We have been meaning to work for many years now, it is finally happening with Thangalaan."

Apart from Vikram, there have been reports that Prithviraj Sukumaran might play the role of antagonist in this prestigious project.

About Vikram’s upcoming film Thangalaan

Thangalaan is an upcoming Tamil action film directed by Pa Ranjith. The film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone, Preeti Karan and Pasupathy among others.

Thangalaan is based on on true events that tells the story of lives of mine workers in Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 15 this year.

All About SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s SSMB29

Backed by KL Narayana, SSMB 29 is penned by Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad. Nothing is known about the yet-to-be-titled film. The project is expected to go floors this year and will reportedly be shot across the globe. This film is touted to be one of the most expensive films in recent times.

At a special screening of his film RRR in Japan, filmmaker SS Rajamouli had spoken a little bit about the film. He said, “We started my next film. We completed the writing, we are in the pre-production process...But we haven't finished the casting yet. Only the main hero is locked, the protagonist of the film is locked. His name is Mahesh Babu, he is a Telugu actor. Looks like many of you already know him. He is very handsome. Hopefully, we finish the film a little bit fast and during the release, I will bring him here, and I'll introduce him to you. I'm sure you will love him as well.”
