Neetu, who has worked in Bollywood as well as regional cinema, requested the court to direct the respondents to modify the song’s lyrics. She argues that Maniac "portrays overt sexualisation," reducing women to mere objects of desire. Furthermore, she also accused the track of misrepresenting the Bhojpuri language by using it to “normalise vulgarity” and throws "women's empowerment out of the window".
