India's Got Latent Controversy: Maharashtra Cyber Cell Summon Date For Samay Raina Clashes With Comedian's Boston Show?

India's Got Latent Controversy: Samay Raina has been at the centre of legal troubles surrounding his comedy show. It happened when netizens rose in uproar asking to ban Ranveer Allahbadia over his lewd remark on 'parental sex'. Despite issuing an apology, Allahbadia and other judges of that episode - Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani and Samay - were summoned by Maharashtra Cyber Cell to investigate that particular episode. While others appeared before the authorities, Samay requested to extend his appearance as he was busy with his show in Boston.

With the second summons served to Samay on Monday, March 17, asking him to appear on or before March 19, here's all you need to know about Samay's Boston show.

Samay Raina's Boston Show - All you need to know

The comedian is all set to conclude his US & Canada tour today, March 18. The show will begin at 6:30 PM and will go on till 9 PM (EDT). It is taking place at 543 Columbia Rd, Ma 02125, Boston, United States. The description of his show reads, "Brace yourselves for a night of raw unfiltered laughter as the hilarious Samay Raina takes the stage! Known for his sharp wit bold humour and fearless punchlines Samay is all set to bring you a night of raw and unapologetic comedy. No filters no scripts—just pure comedy that will have you rolling in your seats."

Samay Raina summoned again by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell

Samay Raina had earlier requested to appear for his summon via video conferencing. The comedian argued that he is on a tour in North America and might not be able to return to the country till March 17. However, his request was rejected and the authorities demanded he record his statements on February 18. Despite this, the YouTuber skipped the summon. Now, he is again summoned to appear by March 19. It seems, this time he is expected to record his statement.

Samay Raina's Delhi show cancelled

Following his US tour, Samay was scheduled to perform at Delhi's Talkatora stadium on March 21 and March 23. Both the shows were sold out with tickets starting from Rs 1000. However, soon after the controversy erupted, the ticketing app notified the attendees about its cancellation. The message from the ticketing app read, “Samay Raina Unfiltered - Talkatora Stadium Show scheduled on Sun Mar/23/2025 07:30 PM has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.” The message also stated that those who had booked the tickets would be getting a refund within 10 working days.

While BookMyShow, the ticketing partner for the event, did not state the reason behind the cancelling of the show, it appears to be because of India's Got Latent row.
