Justin Timberlake Returns To Instagram After His Arrest In Drunk Driving Case

Justin Timberlake made his first Instagram appearance since his DWI arrest, sharing something special for his New York City fans. On Tuesday, June 25, Timberlake, 43, posted a video showcasing a new Forget Tomorrow World Tour T-shirt in New York Knicks' blue and orange colors. “This is so important right now,” he said in the video. “Let’s go. We’ve got your Knicks colors. We had to do it!” He captioned the post, “Had to do it 👀 @nyknicks,” and shared it on his Instagram Story along with a promotional video for his Tuesday show at Madison Square Garden (MSG). MSG's Instagram page also featured an animated video of Timberlake above the venue, captioned, “JT 🔥 MSG 🔥 SOLD OUT NIGHT 1.” Timberlake is scheduled to perform at MSG again on Wednesday, June 26.

Despite his recent DWI-related arrest in the Hamptons on June 17, Timberlake continues his world tour. The Sag Harbor Police Department stated that Timberlake was arrested after running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane, leading to the discovery that he was driving under the influence. He was processed and held overnight, then arraigned on June 18 at Sag Harbor Village Justice Court and released on his own recognizance.

Timberlake’s lawyer, Ed Burke, informed Us Weekly on June 18 that the DWI charge was due to Timberlake refusing a breath test. He was also cited for running a stop sign and improper lane usage. His court date is set for July 26. CNN reported that Timberlake claimed he had only one martini before his arrest, although police noted his bloodshot eyes and the smell of alcohol. A bartender at the American Hotel in New York confirmed Timberlake only had one drink there.

According to a source, Biel was extremely upset and worried upon hearing the news, as she was unaware of the situation while working. Biel, who shares sons Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3, with Timberlake, always tries to give him the benefit of the doubt.
