Neha Kakkar recently made headlines for arriving three hours late to her Melbourne concert on Monday. While apologising she broke down and said "I will remember this evening forever." Her apology didn't go down well with the audience and they massively trolled her for 'acting'. They were also angry with the singer as she wrapped the concert in less than an hour.
Videos are going viral on the internet showing Neha on the stage weeping and apologising for being late. She can be heard saying, "Guys, you are really sweet. You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai. Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho (You have been waiting for me for so long. I hate it, I have never made anyone wait in my life but you are waiting for me).”
"I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. I will make sure that I will make you all dance,” she concluded.
Her apology didn't sit well with them and in the background of the viral videos they can be heard calling her "unprofessional". "Very good acting! Yeh Indian Idol nahi hai. Bachchon ke saath nahi gaa rahi ho," shouted another.
A concertgoer highlighted how she came in late and wrapped the concert in less than an hour, “Came to the stage at 10pm for a 7:30 show. Then doing drama of crying. Then wrapped up in less than an hour. Such a crap concert, heights of unprincipled." A Reddit user wrote, "Waapis hotel me in jaake soo jaao, very good acting, ye Indian idol nahi hain."
The popular singer is seemingly unaffected by the trolling as she is seen enjoying a hearty breakfast. She took to her Instagram Story and shared a photo that shows her enjoying warm paratha with vegetables. On the table, we can also see fruits and cornflakes. The text on the image reads, "PositiviTea".
Before the Melbourne concert, Neha performed in Sydney on March 22 at Norwest Convention Centre.
