Rajinikanth has taken time off from professional commitments to tend to personal time. The actor has embarked on a spiritual journey in the Himalayas. Photos and videos of the veteran actor from shrines are now doing rounds on social media. 

Rajinikanth offers prayers at Badrinath, Kedarnath 

On May 31, Rajinikanth paid a sacred visit to the Kedarnath Dham and Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand. In the visuals obtained by ANI, Rajinikanth can be seen offering prayers at the temple. The actor donned traditional Indian attire for the visit.

In the photos and videos, Rajinikanth could be seen dressed in an all-white attire. He teamed the look with a matching white shawl to complete the traditional outfit. He could be seen making his way through the crowd in the temple. 

Rajinkanth embarks on a spiritual journey 

Before leaving for his journey, at Dehradun airport, Rajinikanth spoke to ANI about his spiritual endeavours, saying, "Every year I gain new experiences that inspire me to continue my spiritual journey. I believe this time will be no different." Rajinikanth emphasised the significance of spirituality, stating, "The world needs spirituality as it is essential for every individual. Being spiritual brings peace and tranquillity, fundamentally involving a belief in God."

Recently, Rajinikanth visited the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi. Videos and pictures of Rajinikanth seeking blessing at the temple were posted on the official social media account of the BAPS Hindu Mandir.

The actor has wrapped up the shoot for his upcoming film Vettaiyan. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan also stars Amitabh Bachchan. Vettaiyan, which is Rajinikanth's 170th film, is scheduled for a worldwide release in October this year. Earlier this month, Rajinikanth and Amitabh were seen filming a few scenes together in Mumbai.
