The public image of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda's relationship took a serious hit post their appearance on Koffee With Karan season 9. The couple, who tied the knot in earlier this year after dating for several years, was on the receiving end of a massive backlash owing to the anecdotes they shared on the popular talk show. From Vijay's confession of making Rashmika ask him to marry her 100 times to him not following her on Instagram, every known detail of their relationship faced public scrutiny since then.

Their appearance on the show also made social media users talk about how Vijay appeared to be more controlling in the relationship while allegations were made of Rashmika being Dovey-eyed in love and ignoring the ‘red flags’. Influencers curated reels on the topic, psychologists on social media attempt to dissect their interpersonal dynamics online and trolls had a field day. Amid this, Rashmika took to her Instagram account to share an extensive note explaining her side of the story and breaking her silence on the matter.

In the 8-page note shared on October 26, Rashmika Mandanna hit out at all those questioning her marriage with Vijay. She fiercely defended her husband and reiterated that she does not back down from a fight for loved ones. Countering allegations of ‘being obsessed’ with Vijay, the actress questioned the trolls if it is wrong to be so for one's partner. In the post, she also addressed the massive trolling behind Vijay asking her to request her to marry him ‘100 times. She also insisted that the ‘well-wishers' of hers on social media are not present on days when she is inconvenienced or is having trouble. She mentioned her husband is present for her at those times.
