India's Got Latent Controversy: Samay Raina skipped a summon by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell today. The YouTuber has now received a second summons from the cyber cell to appear before it on March 19. This comes after the controversial episode of his show India's Got Latent sparked a nationwide controversy.

Samay Raina skips summon after requesting video conferencing to record statement

Samay Raina had earlier requested to appear for his summon via video conferencing. The comedian argued that he is on a tour in North America and will not be able to return to the country till March 17. However, his request was rejected and the authorities demanded he record his statements on February 18.

The YouTuber has skipped the summon by Maharashtra Cyber cell again. He is now expected to record his statement on March 19. The summon comes after an episode on his YouTube channel - India's Got Latent caught social media attention for lewd and perverted remarks made by the panellist. A particular question posed by Ranveer Allahbadia regarding parental intercourse sparked nationwide outrage. As a result, all guests who appeared on the show were summoned by the Cyber Cell. Allahbadia has recorded his statements in the controversy and has issued an apology for his filthy comment. Samay, on the other hand, is yet to apologise but has removed all videos of the show from his YouTube channel.

Samay Raina's Delhi show cancelled

While BookMyShow, the ticketing partner for the event, did not state the reason behind the cancelling of the show, it appears to be because of India's Got Latent row. The message from the ticketing app read, “Samay Raina Unfiltered - Talkatora Stadium Show scheduled on Sun Mar/23/2025 07:30 PM has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.” The message also stated that those who had booked the tickets would be getting a refund within 10 working days.
