Soha Ali Khan remembers dad Tiger on his birth anniversary, pays a visit to his favourite stadium

Soha Ali Khan marked the birth anniversary of her late father and Indian cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi by visiting his favourite cricket stadium.

Soha Ali Khan has shared a heartwarming post on Instagram to mark the birth anniversary of her late father, legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Also known as Tiger Pataudi, he was one of the most popular and successful cricketers of his time. The actress along with actor-husband Kunal Kemmu and daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu visited the Melbourn Ground.

Soha Ali Khan visits the Melbourne Cricket Stadium

January 5 marks the birth anniversary of legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. On the special day, his daughter Soha Ali Khan shared an album on her Instagram timeline. The album has a set of photos of Soha and Kunal along with Inaaya standing inside the stadium ground. The carousel also has a black-and-white photo of her father playing. The last frame of the post has a rare picture from Soha's childhood as she spent quality time with Mansoor Ali Khan.

"It seemed only fitting to remember and celebrate Abba on his birthday today by visiting one of his favourite places to play - The Melbourne Cricket Ground," Soha wrote in the caption of the post. She also mentioned that many considered her late father's finest innings to the match at the MCG in 19676-68. 

She also recalled the match and shared that India made 25 runs and 5 outs when Mansoor Ali Khan came to bat and he needed a runner because of a pulled hamstring.

Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle also commented on the picture, “Ah, you made it there Soha! That was the innings I was telling you about. A fabulous innings from a fabulous person. Hope you had fun in Melbourne.”

Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was also a former captain of the Indian cricket team. He was born on January 5, 1941. Last year, on his birth anniversary, Soha Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore visited his grave at their ancestral house in Pataudi Palace.

In his long and successful career, Mansoor had been bestowed with the Arjun Award, Padma Shri and CK Nayadu Award.
