D51: Rashmika Mandanna joins Dhanush in Sekhar Kammula's film

Indian actor Dhanush joined forces with filmmaker Sekhar Kammula for his next project. The movie has been tentatively titled D51 and as per a statement, the movie will be "mounted on a grand scale in multiple languages". Recently, it has been announced that a popular Indian actress has come on board the project to play the female lead.

D51 finds its leading actress

The makers announced that Rashmika Mandanna has joined forces with the team of D51. She will be seen playing the female lead in the movie. This film will also mark Rashmika's first association with National Award-winning actor Dhanush and filmmaker Sekhar Kammula. The actress also took to her Instagram handle to share the announcement and expressed her excitement regarding the project.

Sekhar Kammula, who is known for his exceptional movies, has written a unique story for the Dhanush starrer. The actor will reportedly be featured in a never-seen-before avatar. Meanwhile, the makers have been trying to rope in some more A-listers to be a part of this much-awaited project. The official announcement of the movie was made ahead of Dhanush's birthday. Shri Narayan Das K Narang, Puskur Ram and Suniel Narang will be producing this project.
