Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, who are battling the custody case of their kids, have reached a temporary agreement to keep their daughters in New York, as per a report in PEOPLE. This arrangement was formalised in documents filed on Monday. Joe and Sophie are parents to two daughters - Willa, 3, and a 14-month-old.

As per a report in PEOPLE, the estranged couple will have to keep their daughters in the Southern and Eastern districts of New York, which includes New York City, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley. The documents added that if the order is violated then the court had the right to take measures under Federal or State law to protect the well-being of the kids.

"The parties have agreed to the entry of the attached proposed Interim Consent Order, without prejudice to either party's claims and defenses, prohibiting the removal of the parties' children from the jurisdictions of the United States District Courts for the Southern & Eastern Districts of New York pending further order of this Court," the documents say (as per a report in PEOPLE).

When Sophie Turner sued Joe Jonas for wrongful retention of kids

Sophie and Joe have reached to a temporary agreement after the actress sued the singer for wrongful retention of the couple's kids and withholding their passports. Soon after the news broke, Joe's representative cleared the air by saying that Sophie wanted to move the divorce proceedings to the UK and remove the kids from the USA permanently, and owing to this, she has been making such claims.

"The children are currently with their mother. Sophie is making this claim only to move the divorce proceedings to the UK and to remove the children from the US permanently," read the statement.
