Amidst the Ashton Kutcher-Mila Kunis controversy where the actors were criticised for supporting rape convict Danny Masterson, an old video has resurfaced on the internet. The now viral video contains problematic statements coming from Ashton Kutcher. Ashton and Mila were part of The 70s show that also starred Danny Masterson.

3 things you need to know:

  • Danny Masterson is sentenced to 30 years in Jail, after being convicted of rape.
  • Ashton, Mila Kunis, and Danny Masteron rose to fame with the TV series The 70s show.
  • Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis tied the knot in 2015, after reportedly dating for 3 years.

Waiting for Hilary Duff to turn 18: Ashton Kutcher in old video

Kunis and Kutcher had written letters in support of their The 70s Show co-star Danny Masterson, who was sentenced to 30 years in prison by a judge in Los Angeles, for raping two women in 2003.  The actor couple drew a lot of flak after their statement was leaked online.

Chrissie Carnell Bixler, one of the rape survivors who pressed charges against Masterson, has now shared an old Ashton Kutcher video clip from the show Punk'd. The said video has Kutcher uttering inappropriate things about Hillary Duff and Olsen Twins, where he says “She’s one of the girls that we’re all waiting for to turn 18. Along with the Olsen twins.”

Chrissie shared another clip from the popular late-night show Rosie O’Donnell, where Mila Kunis recalls an incident about Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson wagering a bet where Masterson reportedly egged on Kutcher to give a French kiss to Kunis, who was 14 years old then.

Kutcher, Kunis apologised for their letters supporting Masterson

Earlier on Sunday, Ashton and Mila also uploaded a joint video, where they clarified that their statement in support of Danny Masterson was meant for court authorities only, and wasn’t supposed to be made public. The video statement also added that their letters were ‘not to undermine the testimony of the victims or retraumatise them in any way, that they would never want to do that and they're sorry if that has taken place’.

Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Danny Masterson found their first success in show business with the show The 70s Show, which had a successful on-air run from 1998 to 2006. While Masterson did not find much success later in his career,  Kutcher and Kunis went on to become major movie stars.
