REVEALED: Actor Jackson Odell, 20, Died Of Drug Overdose

The coroner has ruled Jackson Odell's death as an accident resulting from “acute heroin and cocaine toxicity”

Jackson Odell, who was popularly known for his role as Ari Caldwell in ABC's 'The Goldbergs' died from a drug overdose in a sober living facility where he sought treatment, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. As per earlier reports, the 20-year-old actor was found unresponsive at his Tarzana home in California on June 8. Upon his death, the Odell family had issued a statement addressing his death. The statement read: "The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell, on Friday. He will always be a shining light and a brilliant, loving and talented soul. He had so much more to share. Our family will always carry that truth forward. Our wish is that the rest of the world who knew him does as well. We are now going to try to make sense of our immeasurable loss privately. We will not be making any more statements."

Reportedly, the coroner has ruled the actor’s death as an accident resulting from “acute heroin and cocaine toxicity”. The toxicology report confirmed speculation that narcotics were involved.

Reportedly, post his death, his family in a statement said that they were with him days before his death. They stated that he was happy and even sang one of his songs for them, which was recorded by them. They further stated that Odell was in a good place and was optimistic not only about his sobriety but his future as well. His family members reportedly said that Jackson wanted to live and share the music that poured out of him.

The family, who has many unheard songs of Jackson, plan to pull them all together so that the world can know him through his incredible music and not just for his unfortunate and untimely death. Talking about their son’s addiction, they reportedly said that their son had to pay the ultimate price to this addiction that is attacking this generation across the globe. In June, the assistant chief coroner had not found any drug paraphernalia or illegal drugs at Jackson's residence. Apart from featuring in ‘The Goldbergs’ from 2013 to 2015, he also made a brief appearance in ‘Modern Family’. The actor was also a blooming musician.
