Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, better known as Orry, was among eight people booked for allegedly consuming alcohol at a hotel in Katra, the base camp for the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Reasi district. An FIR has been filed against the socialite and the others accused of "hurting the sentiments of people" and “violating the law of the land”. Apart from his social media content, Orry is best known to be close friends with young Bollywood actors like Janhvi Kapoor , Nysa Devgn, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Veer Pahariya. He sparked the internet's curiosity in 2023, due to his regular attendance at intimate Bollywood parties and closeness with star kids. 
 

Who are Orry's friends in Bollywood? 

Orry's Instagram serves as a mirror of his social life. With a following of 1.6 million, the 29-year-old's Instagram account often features Bollywood actors, especially the younger ones. Some of the regulars on the feed are Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Ananya Panday and Nysa Devgn. Speaking to Cosmopolitan in 2023, Orry shared, “I wouldn’t really say I’m friends with anyone in the ‘film industry’ — the people I’m friends with are actually my peers. We’re the same age; we all went to school and college at similar times."

A look at Orry's social media account paints a clear picture of who is close to the Hindi film industry. However, speaking to the publication, he asserted, “There are only a few people who I consider industry friends and who I met only in the industry, like Bhumi Pednekar. We didn’t know each other until a couple of years ago, but we’re really good friends now.”  

Who is Orry?

Following his Vaishno Devi drinking case controversy, netizens have been curious about who Orry is. The 29-year-old socialite has a degree in Fine Arts and Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in New York. When asked about his profession on a popular reality show, Orry simply replied, “I am a liver”, a line that went on to become viral and even made it to t-shirt text. On previous occasions, he has also described himself as a singer-songwriter and a fashion designer.

With the widespread recognition on social media, Orry also made it to the small screen. He appeared on the controversial show Bigg Boss 17 as a wildcard contestant. He was also seen on an episode in Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives. Orry has also featured in a cameo appearance in Call Me Bae and the recently released Netflix film Nadaaniyaan.
