Movies Releasing In Theatres This Week: Bollywood films Batwara 1947, starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, and Awarapan 2, featuring Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, will clash at the box office over the Independence Day weekend. Other anticipated theatrical releases this coming week are Suriya's Vishwanath & Sons and Anne Hathaway's sci-fi dino thriller The End Of Oak Street. Awarapan 2

Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani star in the sequel to the 2007 romantic drama, also featuring Shabana Azmi and Puran Gabbi. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the movie arrives on the big screen amid much anticipation this coming week.

Batwara 1947

Based on Asghar Wajahat’s play Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya, O Jamya E Nai, the film tells the story of a Muslim family relocating from Lucknow to Lahore during the 1947 Partition, who find an elderly Hindu woman, "Mai," refusing to leave the abandoned mansion they are assigned. The movie stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Karan Deol and Ali Fazal and is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

Vishwanath & Sons

The story follows Sanjay Vishwanath, a middle-aged former international pistol shooting champion, whose disciplined life and family responsibilities collide with an unexpected age-gap romance and a medical crisis involving his young child. Vishwanath & Sons stars Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in lead roles.

The End Of Oak Street

The End Of Oak Street is a science fiction survival film directed by David Robert Mitchell. It follows the Platt family (starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor) after a cosmic event teleports their entire suburban street into an unknown prehistoric landscape filled with roaming dinosaurs.
