Jr NTR In Kantara: Rishab Shetty rose to fame with the widespread appreciation of his movie Kantara (2022). The Kannada film created a havoc at the box office as well as received massive critical appreciation. The actor even his first National Award for acting for the movie. Following the thunderous response to the first film, the makers have planned a prequel for the same. Amid this, RRR fame Jr NTR has expressed a desire to work with the actor in the movie. 

Will Jr NTR be part of the Kantara prequel?

Rishab Shetty who took the Kannada film industry to new heights has attracted filmmakers and actors eager to collaborate with him for his upcoming projects. The most recent to join the list is Jr NTR. The Kannada star recently joined Jr NTR on a trip to the  Mukambika Ammavari Temple in Kollur along with their families. According to reports, when Jr NTR was asked about the rumours of his involvement in the prequel of Kantara, the  RRR actor responded with a smile by saying, “I am ready to do the film if Rishab Shetty has a plan”.

Recently, in a media conversation, Rishab Shetty revealed that a big team is involved in the making of Kantara prequel, hinting at the film's massive scale. He said, “A big team is working with greater responsibility. Wonderful technicians are working on the project. People have loved Kantara." 

Kantara is all about a young tribal who reluctantly dons the traditions of his ancestors to seek justice. The film stars Rishab Shetty (also the director of the film), Sapthami Gowda, Manasi Sudhir, Kishore and Swaraj Shetty among others.

What’s next for Jr NTR?

Jr NTR will next be seen in the highly anticipated pan-India film Devara: Part 1. Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie is being produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts. It marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. 

Apart from Devara Part 1, the Janatha Garage star has the Bollywood project War 2 lined up. One of the most anticipated projects, the film has a hefty legacy to live up to. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the RRR star will feature alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in it. Jr NTR is also working with Prashanth Neel in NTR31.
