The controversy surrounding Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron has sparked heated discussion about their alleged relationship. With new allegations, secret marriage, leaked pictures, audio clips and statements surfacing each day, the scandal has become more complex.

During an appearance on YouTube channel, Kim Sae Ron’s aunt made serious allegation against the Queen of Tears actor saying that the duo were dating when the Kim Sae Ron was only a minor , 15 and Kim Soo Hyun was 27 then. Garosero Research Institutehad  stated that unless Kim Soo-Hyun publicly apologises to Kim Sae-Ron’s grieving family, they may consult with her relatives and consider releasing more videos, which allegedly show clearer footage of his face.

YouTube channel Entertainment President’s Lee Jin Hoo then dropped a big bombshell by sharing a video in which he made serious allegations about Kim Sae Ron before her death. In the video, Jin Ho claimed that she was married on Instagram in January 2025 with caption, ‘Marry’, but she deleted them within few minutes.

YouTuber Lee Jin Ho released two audio recordings he claims are between a staff member from Kim Sae Ron’s new agency after she left Gold Medalist “A” and Kim Sae Ron’s best friend “B”. The conversation was recorded on February 16, on the same day of actress’ death. As per report, here is the translation of the conversation where Kim Sae Ron’s best friend mentioned about the assault. Actress Lee El became the first Korean celebrity to react to the matter. On March 17, she voiced her frustration over the criticism directed at Kim Sae Ron. She highlighted the unfair double standards faced by young actors in the entertainment industry, indirectly addressing the issue.

On February 16, Kim was found dead by a friend in her home in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong District, Seoul. She was 24 years old. By the time of her death, she reportedly had a debt of more than ₩700 million won ($486,000) to her agency as a result of these settlements.

Is Kim Soo Hyun going to faces losses due to his ongoing scandal?

Kim Soo Hyun has recently been at the centre of allegations involving the late Kim Sae Ron. But, seems like Kim Soo Hyun is going to be in deep trouble. As per reports, the actor who was scheduled to appear for a fan meeting  7-11’s 2025 Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival (also known as the 2025 Sakura Festival) in Taiwan, from March 28 to March 30, might get cancelled. 

If Kim Soo Hyun’s appearance will be cancelled, sources reveal that the actor might face a penalty of around 1.32 billion KRW (about $911,000 USD). As per report of Koreaboo, Kim Soo Hyun's best friend has revealed that he is currently staying with his family and is relying on them for stability and comfort. Although Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, denied the allegations of a relationship with a minor, her family demanded a public apology during a press conference. They accused the actor of causing financial hardship and mental stress for their late daughter, which they claim ultimately led to her death.
