Ranveer Allahbadia is staying away from the media after he grave trouble for making an unsavoury comment on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent in February. The issue eventually escalated to the Supreme Court. The controversy broke out at the time when news of his romance with Nikki Sharma was buzzing around. Although both influencers never confirmed the relationship publicly, netizens kept speculating about their relationship after spotting them on vacations together. As the YouTuber kept himself low profile, Nikki addressed a cryptic question about India’s Got Latent controversy for the first time, and her response left everyone shocked.

Over a month later, Nikki continued to avoid questions about Ranveer and the controversy. She was recently spotted at an Iftar party and her short interview video is going viral. In a video shared on Instagram by paparazzo Viral Bhayani, an anchor asked her about receiving calls and messages from the media when a close friend faces trouble. Nikki swiftly dodged the question, stating that she never answered unknown calls. She said, "I don't have anyone's number. Unknown numbers go somewhere, I don't know. I hope people won't hate me for this."

This response comes amid recent rumours of their breakup, with claims that both had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Before the IGL controversy, Ranveer and Nikki were reportedly taking secret holidays together.

Ranveer Allahbadia’s India’s Got Latent controversy update

Earlier this month, Ranveer appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW). Vijaya Rahatkar, the Chief of the commission, informed reporters that the podcaster, popularly known as BeerBiceps, admitted his mistake and promised not to repeat it. She stated, “Keeping the social impact in mind, they were issued notices. They came before the commission and expressed deep regret. They said they should not have spoken in such a manner and have now submitted a written apology.”

The Supreme Court provided some relief to Ranveer by allowing him to resume his podcast, The Ranveer Show. The court stated, “As of now petitioners were restrained from airing any shows. Subject to the petitioner furnishing an undertaking that his podcast shows will maintain the desired standards of morality and decency so that viewers of any age group can watch.”
