'What A Shame': NewJeans Member Danielle Trolled For Lip-syncing At ComplexCon Hong Kong

K-pop girl group NewJeans has once again become the hot topic for discussion after they lost out on case against their agency ADOR. Now, the band is facing fresh wave of criticism after member Danielle’s performance is being accused of lip-syncing during their performance in Hong Kong.

A video was shared by an X user and fans flooded the comment section trolling the idol. One user wrote, “Lipsyncing, no surprise they’re besties with a certain gg member”. Another user wrote, “Always lipsinging what a shame”. “Graduated from jenma school this much Lipsync”, wrote the third user.

This viral video surfaced on social media just days after the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favour of ADOR, granting the injunction over the group’s activities. As per reports, during the performance at ComplexCon in Hong Kong, NewJeans stated that they would be taking time off in respect of the court’s verdict and it was not an easy decision. Post the announcement of the members, their agency ADOR issued statement.

The controversy between NewJeans and ADOR began last year when the girl group called for an emergency press conference and announced that they are leaving the group. However, the agency later said that their contract is very much valid and even asked them to come back.

All about NewJeans

NewJeans was formed by ADOR, a sub-label of Hybe. The group is composed of five members- Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyerin. The group was produced by Min Tee-jin and their music is inspired from 1990s and 2000s. 

The group debuted under the name NewJeans on July 22, 2022, with the single Attention which topped the charts. Several other chartbuster songs they have released- Ditto, OMG, Get Up, Hype Boy, Cookie, Super Shy, Cool With You and ETA among others.
