WATCH - L2 Empuraan: Mohanlal Watches First Show With Son Pranav, Wife Suchitra, Prithviraj Sukumaran And Other Team Members

L2 Empuraan hit the theatres today, March 27, and Mohanlal, who plays the leading role in he movie, watched an early morning show with his family. The Mollywood stalwart was accompanied by his son Pranav Mohanlal and co-star Prithviraj Sukumaran in a Kochi theatre. The video from the same is going viral on the internet.

In a viral video, Mohanlal, dressed in all black, can be seen arriving at the theatres with security. His wife Suchitra and producers Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan were also seen enjoying the movie. Even his fans were dressed in black to don a similar look like him.

L2 Empuraan earns mixed reviews from the audience

X is flooded with mixed reviews, with many calling it a "blockbuster" while others feel something is missing in the movie. They criticised screenwriter Murali Gopy for changing whole classy Lucifer into a template revenge drama. However, what stood common in their reviews was that everyone lauded music composer Deepak Dev for the background score and songs in the film. A user called the movie average and wrote, "With the expectations and humongous presales, #L2E had makers failing to satisfy was a big letdown. Can't digest that Murali Gopy changed the whole classy Lucifer into a template revenge drama. The music department was also underwhelming when compared to the predecessor. Despite a solid Lalettan & 2 Good episodes, this was a Mixed Bag."

A user shared that Empuraan was not up to the mark compared to Lucifer. Also, the cameos were not very impactful. "Good Commercial Entertainer. Second Half  >>> First Half Deepak Dev Music. But something is missing compared to Lucifer ( part 1 )... Special appearance's Okayish," the user wrote.

Meanwhile, the makers of the movie have embroiled themselves in a controversy as many are accusing them of corporate booking. According to Sacnilk, L2: Empuraan has collected ₹10.13 crore in all languages in India through advance bookings. However, with blocked seats, the number touches₹19 crore. This hints that the makers of the Mohanlal starrer are indulging in corporate bookings to fuel the box office collections.
