Anyone But You: Sydney Sweeney-Glen Powell film gets theatrical, OTT release date in India

Anyone But You is a contemporary adaptation of the play Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, complete with romance and lots of laughs.

Anyone But You made its theatrical debut in the US on December 22, 2023. Now, the Sydney Sweeney-Glen Powell starrer is all set to hit the Indian theatres on January 5. The film will be available to watch on limited screens, however, its OTT debut is also not far along. 

When and where to watch Anyone But You? 

Anyone But You is a contemporary adaptation of the play Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, complete with romance and lots of laughs. You can soon see it on a big screen as it opens in India on January 5. However, if you miss the theatrical release window, you can watch the film on April 20, 2024, on Netflix.

What is Anyone But You about? 

Anyone But You centers around Bea (played by Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (portrayed by Glen Powell), whose promising connection takes a drastic turn from fiery to frosty after their initial date. However, fate has other plans as the duo reunites at Bea's sister's wedding in Australia, where their mutual presence seems nothing short of intolerable. A string of mishaps, including fires, unfolds, leading the bride to fear that their wedding is doomed for disaster.

As the storyline progresses, the enemies-to-lovers trope takes a fresh twist when both Bea and Ben's ex-partners make unexpected appearances. Bea, grappling with her parents' reunion scheme, contemplates an unconventional solution while Ben, aiming to incite jealousy in his ex, explores uncharted territory inadvertently stirring up a rollercoaster of emotions between the two characters.

Produced by Will Gluck, Joe Roth, and Jeff Kirschenbaum, the film boasts an ensemble cast of Alexandra Shipp, Hadley Robinson, Michelle Hurd, Dermot Mulroney, and Darren Barnet.
