In an interview with Pinkvilla, Fardeen discussed his brief appearance and revealed that one of his scenes was cut from the series. He expressed his admiration for Bhansali, describing the opportunity to work with him as an honor.

When asked about his limited screen time, Fardeen said, "It's better to leave them feeling that they wanted to see more (laughs). I knew from the start that I had about 8-10 scenes, but one of my scenes didn't make it, which I wish had. It was a special scene that I really enjoyed doing."

Fardeen praised Bhansali further, stating that it was a privilege to work with such an esteemed filmmaker. He highlighted that working on Heeramandi, which Bhansali directed, was the most ambitious project released worldwide under his banner.

The actor shared that his experience on Heeramandi boosted his confidence and reinforced his belief in his abilities, especially after such a long hiatus. He felt validated by Bhansali's endorsement, which he said meant the world to him.
