Sunny Deol, Nandamuri Balakrishna Meet On SDGM Set, Fans Manifest 'Massiest' Film Of Indian Cinema

After the success of last year’s Gadar 2, Sunny Deol is set to star in Gopichand Malineni’s upcoming film SDGM, an action-packed bilingual in Telugu and Hindi. The film also stars Randeep Hooda , Vineet Kumar, Regina Cassandra, and Saiyami Kher. The big-budget entertainer began in June and is currently shooting in Hyderabad. As the excitement grew about the project, fans were recently treated with a surprising crossover when Balakrishna visited Sunny Deol on set.

On October 13, Nandamuri Balakrishna aka God of Masses visited the Border actor on the set of yet-to-be-titled Gopichand Malineni’s SDGM.

The film's producers, Mythri Movies, shared photos on X (formerly Twitter) of Balakrishna and Sunny Deol shaking hands and chatting. They captioned it, “A MASSive moment. GOD OF MASSES #NandamuriBalakrishna Garu met ACTION SUPERSTAR @iamsunnydeol Ji on the sets of #SDGM during the ongoing schedule. MASS FEAST LOADING. Directed by @megopichand. Produced by @MythriOfficial & @peoplemediafcy.”

Director Gopichand Malineni also posted the pictures on Instagram with the caption, “A MASSive moment. GOD OF MASSES #NandamuriBalakrishna Garu met ACTION SUPERSTAR @iamsunnydeol.” As soon as photos went online, fans got excited with many expressing their wish to see them collaborate in a film.

A fan commented, “Gopichand garu, please bring both of them together in a mass action movie. We’re certain you're the only director who can make this happen, and it would be historic.” Another fan added, “Give Sunny a cameo in Akhanda 2, Sir, please.” Many others shared their thoughts with fire and heart emojis.

Gopichand Malineni’s SDGM will complete shooting by the October end?

Sunny Deol has been sharing updates from the film shoot regularly. On Saturday, October 12,  he posted a video on X, wishing his fans a Happy Dussehra and expressing hope that filming will wrap up in Hyderabad by the end of the month.

At the same time, Balakrishna is working with action director Bobby Kolli on NBK109, which is scheduled for release during Sankranti 2025.

Last year, Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 became one of India’s highest-grossing films, earning over Rs 690 crore globally and receiving praise from both critics and audiences.

Currently, the Fear actor is working on Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Sunny and Aamir Khan's production companies. Preity Zinta has a significant role in the film. Additionally, Sunny is set to release Border 2 in 2026.
