Is Sivakarthikeyan a part of Rajinikanth starrer Thalaivar 171? Actor clarifies

Rajinikanth has joined hands with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for his 171st movie, tentatively titled Thalaivar 171. Earlier, it was reported that Sivakarthikeyan will be playing a prominent role in the film titled Thalaivar 171. However, the Ayalaan actor has now reacted to the reports during the promotional event of his film.

While interacting with media during the promotions of Ayalaan, Sivakarthikeyan confirmed that he has not been approached for Thalaivar 171. "I also read it in news reports but nothing has been confirmed," he said.

However, the actor expressed his joy and eagerness to share the screen space with Rajinikanth. Sivakarthikeyan said, "I am always ready to take up the opportunity to act with Thalaivar. I would not even worry about the length of the character. Even if it's for a single scene, I am ready."

He further added that Rajinikanth is his biggest inspiration in the industry and has learned a lot of lessons from him. "What more a fanboy can ask for than sharing the screen space with him?" he asked. Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj is still working on the script of Thalaivar 171 and the film will go on the floors early next year.

Addressing the competitive release on Pongal, Sivakarthikeyan mentioned, "Pongal often sees many film releases, leading to tough competition. While some praise and find inspiration in my work, some criticize me. However, I don't let it affect me. I prefer focusing on those who appreciate my efforts."
