Kamal Haasan Pens A Note For 'Dear Friend' Rajinikanth's Speedy Recovery After His Hospitalisation

Rajinikanth underwent an elective procedure on October 1 for an issue in the main blood vessel of his heart. Kamal Haasan wished him a speedy recovery.

Rajinikanth Hospitalised: The Tamil superstar was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on September 30. According to a bulletin from Apollo Hospitals, Rajinikanth had a swelling in the aorta, the main blood vessel leaving the heart, which was treated using a non-surgical transcatheter method. The 73-year-old actor is now stable and recovering well, with plans for discharge in two days. Upon hearing the news, Kamal Haasan shared his wishes for Rajinikanth’s speedy recovery on social media.

Kamal Haasan has wished his "dear friend" Rajinikanth a swift recovery during his time in hospital. On Tuesday evening, Kamal posted on X (formerly Twitter) in Tamil, saying, “I wish my dear friend, Superstar @rajinikanth, who is hospitalised, a speedy recovery.”

On September 30, Rajinikanth was taken to the hospital in Chennai, due to severe stomach pain complaints. After a day of observation, he underwent a non-surgical procedure on October 1 to address an issue with the main blood vessel in his heart, according to PTI. A stent was inserted to seal a swelling, as reported by the hospital treating him. He is stable now and will be discharged in 2 days. Rajinikanth had a similar health checkup at the same hospital in December 2020.

Many wished the Vettaiyan actor a quick recovery

Many fan pages on social media shared photos of Rajinikanth appearing healthy and fit just before his reported hospitalisation and wishing him to be well soon. Many celebrities and politician took their social media to wish the superstar a speedy recovery. Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian confirmed that the superstar's health is stable. He mentioned that he has been in contact with the hospital authorities since the actor's admission and checked in with the doctors this morning. "We spoke with the person in charge at the hospital. They indicated that, due to Rajini's celebrity status, he was asked to be admitted at night for a routine check-up," Subramanian stated.

Moreover, Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan is set to release soon, with the trailer launch scheduled for October 2, this news may pose a minor setback for the film's makers and Rajinikanth’s fans.
