Chennai Rains 2024:  Several parts of the city have been flooded, including Rajinikanth's house owing to the continuous rainfall. The superstar's house in Poes Garden has been flooded owing to a low-lying area on Tuesday.

A video going viral on the internet shows a flooded street with water entering the house of Rajinikanth. However, there is no major damage to the house. The heavy downpour has also affected other celebs' houses in the same vicinity. Some streets were flooded knee-deep.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth celebrated the success of Vettaiyan on Monday with Anirudh Ravichander and TJ Gnanavel.

An industry tracker shared the photo of Rajini posing with Anirudh, director TJ Gnanavel and the rest of the team. They all went to the superstar’s house to celebrate the movie’s opening weekend collections. “The #Vettaiyan core team along with @LycaProductions @RedGiantMovies_met up with #SuperstarRajinikanth to share their happiness over the film’s huge success!” read the caption.

Soon after the photo was uploaded, netizens flooded the comment section asking why the makers were celebrating. “Also I think lyca would have signed another project with RK to recover lossesssss .. ithuku oru end illaiya,” a user wrote. Another wrote, “What Success”. A third user wrote, “How can you fool these people?”

The action thriller opened at ₹31.7 crore in India but witnessed a 24.29 per cent dip in the collection.  However, since then the movie maintained a steady pace until it hit Monday. On Monday, the movie earned ₹5.25 crore, per Sacnilk. On the sixth day of the release, the movie witnessed further decline as it minted only ₹4.3 crore at the box office in India.
