Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: The festival will begin on September 7 and is marked with the installation of Ganesha's idols in homes, and in pandals. Several Bollywood and television celebrities mark the festival with fervour by bringing home Lord Ganpati's idol. Bigg Boss 17 fame Ankita Lokhande was among the first celebrities to mark the festival this year.

Ankita Lokhande brings home Lord Ganesha

On September 6, a day before the Ganesh Chaturthi , actress Ankita Lokande along with her mother were seen getting Lord Ganpati's idol. In the videos, the actress donned a traditional red suit as she chanted, “Ganapati Bappa Mourya”. In one particular video, the actress could be seen getting emotional. When the paparazzi asked her about the same, she shared that she was shedding tears of happiness.

In a conversation with IANS, Ankita shared, " Ganesh Chaturthi is a grand celebration for my family, and each year we welcome Bappa into our home for 10 days of joy and devotion. Alongside, we also bring Riddhi Siddhi home for a special three-day celebration." "This year, I am extending a heartfelt invitation to my entire Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment family to join us in this auspicious event. It's a beautiful chance to share the blessings and spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi with those who mean so much to me," she added.

Parents-to-be Prince and Yuvika also bring home Ganpati idol 

Before Ankita, television couple and parents-to-be Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary brought home the Ganapati idol on September 5. In the video shared by a paparazzo on Instagram, mom-to-be Yuvika can be seen carrying the idol and shouting, “Ganpati Bappa Morya,” followed by a Prince breaking a coconut on the floor, a sign of good luck. They can also be seen performing puja of the lord before taking him more. For the occasion, the actress can be seen in a pink kurta while Prince adorns a black T-shirt and matching joggers.
