Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, a popular TV show, starred Juhi Parmar and Hussain Kuwajerwala  in the lead. It ran for seven years and attained cult status. The show had over 1400 episodes. Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan completed 21 years of its release this year. Juhi and Hussain reunited on the special occasion.. A video of the two  surfaced online on Friday and immediately went viral.

• The show’s star cast also included Sayantani Ghosh, Tassnim Nerurkar, Vivan Bhatena and Gauri Pradhan. 

Juhi Parmar, Hussain Kuwajerwala celebrate 21 years of Kumkum

Juhi took to her Instagram handle and shared a video with her Kumkum co-star Hussain. In it, the two can be seen grooving to the song Banke Tera Jogi from the 2000 film Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. The track originally featured  Juhi Chawla. 

The dance clip was accompanied by a sweet note describing her friendship with Hussain. The actress stated they met while filming Kumkum and have been friends ever since. She said that they had a wonderful time behind the scenes while working on the show. 

Juhi’s caption read, “21 Years of Kumkum also means 21 years of our friendship. We met on the sets of Kumkum and the rest is history. The audience saw the chemistry onscreen. But for us it was also our friendship behind the scenes..where we laughed and laughed and had the best time together.” 

The actress added she doesn’t get to talk and meet often with Hussain but their bond remains the same even. “We sometimes don’t meet for years and even talk on the phone but when we do, it never seems like there’s ever been a gap. Its seamless and that’s the beauty of our friendship! Same crazy banters, laugh riot and nonstop chatters. Bas aur kya chahiye. Our Tom and Jerry wali friendship started at the same time when Sumit Kumkum became everyone’s most loved onscreen jodi. And I hope it remains the same," concluded Juhi.
