A shocking incident unfolded at Film City in Goregaon, Mumbai on July 26. A leopard entered the set of the Marathi serial Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta. The presence of the wild animal caused panic among the 200 staffers present on the set.

What went down on the set?

A viral video captured the frightening moment when a leopard and their cub entered the set of the Marathi serial Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta. The video showed the wild cat jumping from one spot to another and walking on top of the beams from where overhead lights were suspended. Despite the chaos, no one was injured during the incident.

All Indian Cine Workers Association expressed concern over the incident and raised concerns about the safety of the people working in Film City.

Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, the president of the All Indian Cine Workers Association, accused the government of inefficiency in tracking leopard movements and demanded immediate action to ensure the safety of the people working in the area. He warned that if no firm steps are taken to prevent such incidents, all artists and workers will go on strike in the film city. 

Another incident of leopard roaming on TV set

This is not the first time a wild animal has entered Goregaon's film city. On July 17, a leopard entered on the film set of Shoaib Ibrahim starrer Ajooni. In an interview with Republic Digital, the show's Executive Producer Tapan Shah revealed that the leopard entered the set at midnight when no one was present. 

He said, "No one was there on the set. The leopard came on the intervening night of July 17 and 18. I got to know about it earlier this morning. Nobody was harmed. By then, the leopard went away. In the morning, my staff members came and saw the leopard walking towards the jungle."
