Rupali Ganguly is known for interacting with her fans on social media regularly. The actress has most recently reacted to a troll accusing her of stirring controversy with her cat video. For the unversed, recently Akanksha Chamola’s video of dropping a couple of kittens went viral on social media. Social media users have called her act ‘insensitive’. While the source of the video is unknown, some users believe that Rupali Ganguly who is the co-star of Akanksha’s husband Gaurav in Anupamma, planted faked PR-boosted posts to enhance the issue. The actress has now clarified the same.
A fan war on X (formerly Twitter) between the fans of Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna is not unknown. On June 15, as soon as Akanksha’s video went viral, some users claimed that the video was circulated by fans of Rupali.
One user shared, "Please make it clear how much you have been paid by @TheRupali PR team to downgrade #Gauravkhanna and his wife. You are the most cruel and disgusting for insulting #AkankshaChamola who has nothing to do with crap #Anupamaa show.” The post grabbed Rupali’s attention who immediately replied to the post. She wrote, “Why don’t you come and meet me and then you can happily ask me this 🙏🏻 Jai Mata Di.”
Not just Rupali Ganguly, Kavita Kaushik too got involved in the soup. Soon after the video went viral on Saturday (June 15), Kavita extended support to Akanksha and called her an 'animal lover'. She also admitted that the video was 'silly'.
Taking to her official X account, Kavita wrote, "Well, she made a silly video, yes, but she is an animal lover, we stay in the same building, she helps needy animals, has adopted strays and helps new furry parents, gets injured many times trying to help." She added, "The worst we can do is to call a kind person unkind."
