Amitabh Bachchan is back with the new and sixteenth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) as the host. He has been hosting the show for its entire run except the 3rd season. However, do you know, how much Bollywood superstar earns from the show? The Kalki 2898 AD actor's per episode salary of the current show is reportedly ₹5 crore.

A look at Amitabh Bachchan's Baun Banega Crorepati journey

KBC It is the official Hindi adaptation of the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? franchise. The veteran actor started his journey in 2000 and was well-received by the audience in the premiere season. In 2005, he returned with the second second, but it was abruptly ended after Big B fell ill in 2006. He had shot 61 of the 85 scheduled episodes when he fell ill. The actor announced that he would return after full recovery and when he decided to return for the remaining 24 episodes, Star TV decided to stop the production.  

Owing to this, Big B declined to host the third season of the show. The show started on a promising note but the ratings dropped significantly. Owing to this, the show didn't return for three and a half years. It happened only when Amitabh Bachchan returned to his hosting duties. Since then, Big B has been hosting the show.
