Devara Box Office Collection Day 7: Jr NTR Starrer Registers Drastic Decline After Gandhi Jayanti

Devara Box Office Collection: The Jr NTR- Janhvi Kapoor starrer hit the big screens on September 27. The actioner features the RRR star in a double role and Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. At the end of its 7-day theatrical run, the film has registered a business of over Rs 200 crore.

Devara Part 1 wraps up first week with over Rs 200 crore in collection

Devara Part 1 opened to a staggering Rs 82.5 crore in India. The film is released in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, while the maximum business is attained from the Telugu version. Owing to the absence of any other significant release, the Koratala Siva directorial has been drawing audiences to houseful theatres since Day 1.

On the seventh day of its theatrical run, Devara raked in Rs 7.25 crore as per early estimates provided by Sacnilk. Following the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on October 2, the Jr NTR film saw a major decline. While it raked ₹ 21 Cr on October 2, the business dipped by 65% the following day. The film has amassed a total of Rs 215.6 crore in one week.

Devara Part 1 holds steady in Hindi

Devara is a pan-Indian film that features Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles appealing to audiences across the nation. Since its release the movie has been registering good business from the Hindi version. Given that there are no other Bollywood releases in the week, the Telugu film has raked in Rs 43.75 crore in just the Hindi version which is decent given the grim condition of the Hindi film industry this year.

However, the coming week will see the release of biggies like Alia Bhatt 's Jigra, Tripti Dimri-Rajkummar rai's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan on the occasion of Dussehra. The festive spirit and the new releases will be determined to assess Devara's overall box-office performance.
