Hanu Man director Prashanth Varma to collaborate with Nandamuri Balakrishna for his next?

The Teja Sajja led fantasy action film, Hanu Man will be releasing in theatres on the Sankranti 2024 weekend as part of a massive five-way box office clash.

Prashanth Varma is inching closer to the release of his next big banner release, Hanu Man. The fantasy action film features Teja Sajja in the titular role and is among the 'most-anticipated' Indian titles up for a release this year, as per an IMDb list. With Hanu Man not even out in theatres yet, Prashanth Varma is reportedly already planning out his next project which has a strong possibility of starring Nandamuri Balakrishna.

Prashanth Varma to direct Nandamuri Balakrishna next?


The latest rumours doing the rounds of the internet is that Prashanth Varma will be directing veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna for his next directorial project. As per a 123Telugu report, Varma has already narrated the basic storyline of the film to Balayya, which the latter has taken a liking to. Varma is reportedly just a call away from the actor, and is ready to commence the final narration after which the actor will officially be brought on board. However, no official confirmation regarding this news has been made by either parties involved.

Nandamuri Balakrishna will only be able to commit his dates to the alleged Prashanth Varma project, once he wraps up filming for NBK109, being directed by KS Ravindra. The actor was last seen in his 2023 releases - Veera Simha Reddy which featured him in a double role followed by Bhagavanth Kesari in which he starred opposite Sreeleela.

Prashanth Varma's Hanu Man is among the 'most-anticipated' films of 2024


As per an the IMDb list of the most-anticipated Indian movies and television shows releasing in 2024, Prashanth Varma's Hanu Man is the second most-anticipated release, with Siddharth Anand's Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor led Fighter topping the list.

In this regard, Hanu Man already appears to have beaten Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram, Ravi Teja's Eagle, Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD and Nagarjuna's Naa Saami Ranga - each of which hold lower rungs on the list in comparison to the Teja Sajja starrer. Hanu Man will be releasing in theatres on January 12.
