Hanuman Director Prasanth Varma Takes A Dig At Ranveer Singh After Rakshas Is Shelved?
Prasanth Varma had cast Ranveer Singh in his next big-budget pan-India movie Rakshas. However, months later it was shared that the duo has parted ways.
Filmmaker Prasanth Varma gained fame after the success of HanuMan starring Teja Sajja. The movie released this year and went on to break several box-office records for a Telugu film. Soon after, Prasanth announced the sequel of the movie, Jai HanuMan and also revealed that he will be doing a pan-India project with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.
While everything was going on well and was reported that Singh was excited, the news of the actor backing out from the movie made the headlines. The reports suggested that the Cirkus actor opted out of the project due to creative differences. However, Prasanth's recent post has once again ignited the discussion around Prasanth and Ranveer's project.
What did Prasanth Varma post?
On Monday, Prasanth took to his X handle and wrote, "One day you realise every rejection was a blessing in disguise! :)” Soon after he dropped the post, his fans flooded the comment section speculating that the message was for Ranveer as he had found a better replacement. A fan wrote, "Ranveer Kapoor.. neeku undi.. enka.." Another asked Prasanth, "Right from Chiranjeevi, NTR, RC, Mahesh babu, Prabhas, Nani, VD . Allu Arjun, Rana so many star heros bro why you went Bollywood still not able to understand it."

What is the Prasanth Varma and Ranveer Singh's fiasco all about?
Prasanth had cast Ranveer in his next big-budget movie Rakshas. The duo had shot for the announcement video and were about to release it when the news came that Ranveer had backed out from the movie. Rubbishing "creative differences" rumours, Ranveer and Mythar Movie Makers released an official statement revealing the real reason. the team revealed that this is "not the ideal time" for this project. They mutually decided to part ways with a possible collaboration in future. "Not the ideal time for this project". Ranveer Singh, Prasanth Varma and Mythri Movie Makers clarify with the official statement," the post read.
The statement further read, "Both the parties including Mythri Movie Makers agree that everyone's interntions were right to make it happen but something's sometimes aren't meant to be at that time. The team shook hands with a promise to associate in times to come."
Rakshas was touted to be a period drama set in the pre-Independence era with a mythological twist and Ranveer's character was said to be one with grey shades.
