Jr NTR Dubbed Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's Voice In Chhaava Telugu Version? Producer Bunny Vas Reveals

Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava is running in cinema halls successfully. It is on track to earn ₹500 crore in India in its fourth week and is already one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time. After Chhaava was well received in Hindi, the makers are all set to release the Telugu dubbed version of the historical period drama in order to boost its collection in the South.

With regards to the Telugu release of Chhaava, the dubbed trailer of the film was unveiled on Monday before its release on March 7. Jr NTR's name was linked to the film's Telugu dubbing in the promo. However, in the Telugu trailer, the RRR actor's voice is not used.

Speaking about the matter, Bunny Vas, at the press event, shared that Jr NTR was never supposed to be roped in for dubbing Chhaava promo. Addressing the rumours, Bunny Vas stated that he was also surprised to see NTR’s name linked to the Telugu version of Chhaava. “We never had NTR Garu in mind, and I have no idea how his name was included in reports suggesting he would dub for the promo,” he shared.

Directed by Laxman Utekar of Mimi fame, Chhaava released on the big screen on February 14. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films. The period drama is based on the life of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, essayed by Vicky Kaushal. Rashmika Mandanna plays his wife, Yesubai. Chhaava marked another collaboration for Vicky and Laxman, who have previously worked on the romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (2023) opposite Sara Ali Khan.

Apart from Chhaava, Vicky has been busy with the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love And War, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor .
