The trailer of Kalki 2898 AD was unveiled on June 10. Soon after, netizens took to social media to share their reactions to the cinematic universe that director Nag Ashwin has created. While some elements of the trailer truly stood out, a brief glimpse of Kamal Haasan's mystery character took fans by surprise. Once again, Ulaganayagan has impressed with his onscreen transformation.

Kamal Haasan's look in Kalki 2898 AD revealed

There has been a huge mystery surrounding Kamal Haasan's role in Kalki 2898 AD. Some reports have claimed that his role in the first part of the two-film series will be limited and on par with Prabhas' screen time in the second part. However, there is no confirmation about the same. In the meantime, his look reveal at the end of the Kalki 2898 AD trailer impressed fans.

Kalki 2898 AD trailer is a mix of action and drama

Amitabh Bachchan's action avatar is certainly the highlight of Kalki 2898 AD trailer. He seems to hold some divine power as he slips into the role of Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin's universe. Deepika's character also piques curiosity, Prabhas as Bhairava is shown to work with gadgets in his shop and builds cutting edge technology. Disha Patani also appears in a shot where she kicks an opponent and then speaks to Bhairava.

Kalki 2898 AD is set in a futuristic city, Kashi. It seems like there is a battle for resources going on between those in power and those without it. Kalki 2898 AD will hit the big screens on June 27.
