Mr Bachchan Showreel Out: Ravi Teja Steals The Show With His Angry Man Avatar

Ravi Teja, last seen in the film Eagle, is set to star in the upcoming crime-drama Mr Bachchan. On Monday, the film's creators unveiled a teaser showreel that provides a glimpse into its aesthetic and tone. For the unversed, Mr Bachchan is based on the real-life income tax raid conducted on Indian industrialist Sardar Inder Singh.

Mr Bachchan, a stylish action-drama set in the 1970s, pays homage to the cinema of that era, with a background score reminiscent of the Don title song and other nods to Amitabh Bachchan's legacy. The teaser concludes with a shot featuring an Amitabh Bachchan poster behind Ravi Teja, who mirrors the iconic actor's swagger.

Directed by Harish Shankar and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory, Mr Bachchan is Ravi Teja's third project with Shankar, following Shock (2006) and Mirapakay (2011). The film introduces Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead in her debut role.

What more do we know about Mr Bachchan?

The film's technical team includes notable names such as Ayananka Bose as the cinematographer and Mickey J Meyer as the music director. Ujwal Kulkarni serves as the editor, with production design by Brahma Kadali. The screenplay is a collaborative effort by Ramesh Reddy, Sathish Vegesna, Praveen Varma, Dattatreya, and Tanvi Kesari. Action choreography is handled by Ram Laxman and Pruthvi.
