Rajkumar Hirani expresses his desire to work with RRR actor Ram Charan

The incredible success of RRR has led to an unprecedented surge in demand for Mega Powerstar Ram Charan around the world. Hollywood, Bollywood, and Tollywood directors have all indicated a strong desire to work with this well-known star. The seasoned Bollywood filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has joined the list. He talked about his wish to work with the Magadheera star in a recent interview. 

Rajkumar Hirani to collaborate with Ram Charan on his next project? 

A 123Telugu report previously claimed that Rajkumar Hirani and Ram Charan were in Mumbai discussing a story. In addition, the actor was seen praying at the Shree Sidhivinayak Temple in Mumbai at the same time. However, Ram Charan was in the city for a brand photo shoot.

In response to rumors circulating on the internet regarding a possible movie featuring Ram Charan, Hirani made it clear in a recent interview with ANI that he currently has no immediate plans to collaborate with the actor.

The 3 Idiots director acknowledged that he didn't actually meet Ram Charan, but he nonetheless expressed a sincere desire to work with him on a project in the future. He emphasized that the rumors that are currently going around regarding a film starring Ram Charan are untrue.

Munna Bhai 3 in the making?

On the other hand, Hirani confirmed working on the script for the third installment of the Munna Bhai series. Talking about it, the filmmaker said, “The struggle with this film is that the first two films were blockbuster hits and I have five half-written scripts. I feel that if I don't reach the level of those two films I won't be able to make the third one. I have one story that can be made but some stories get outdated so only time will tell.”

Hirani helmed the first part titled Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. released in 2003. The film was headlined by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. The second part of the movie was released in 2006 titled Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Rajkumar Hirani’s latest release Dunki hit the theatres on December 21 and is doing decent collections at the box office.
